Deep Animation produces high-end animation for the film, television and the advertising industries.

We have seven full time staff and several contract animators, so can expand depending on project size. We have a varied skill base, using Maya 3D software as our main software, with Combustion, Shake and Final Cut Pro for editing.

We have produced numerous TV commercials including CGI for TVCs in Australia, Japan, Korea, Vietnam and Malaysia in the past 12 months. We also design TV channel idents, graphics and programme titles.

Our TV work includes character animation and motion graphics for Hawaiki, a 10-part documentary, and Moko Toa 2, a 12-part series with 3D characters, selected to play on the Japanese NHK network.

We are programming and producing CGI imagery with Go Virtual Medical for medical simulation software for teaching aids for surgeons.

Other work includes special effects on feature film Stickmen; Tarawera, an interactive movie at the Museum of Rotorua recreating the Tarawera eruption; and Future Rush Ride Movie, a simulator experience for the National Museum Te Papa. In 2003 we won a Cannes Lion award.
